The Welding Database is a collection of experiment data in welding and machining, which has a functionality as a consulting system to offer suitable manufacturing methods and their conditions based on the simulation and induction. User can use the system on the Internet.
The database to be made public this time is concerned with welding. The main feature is a new welding method developed at MEL, called Complex Weld Processing. It can be used to get TIG and MIG welding conditions , as well.
Complex Weld Processing is a method to obtain efficient and high-quality welds between dissimilar materials. The method is called such as TIG-2Y/G and MIG-1Y/G , where *Y* stands for the arc wire type with numbers and *G* stands for the existence of the magnetic control, respectively. Complex Weld Processing has introduced other new welding methods to apply appropriate conditions automatically for a weld joint specification. The conditions are determined basically by TIG method considering the dilution ratio and deposition rate.
The End milling Database consists of "Searching Machining Instance".
The database has been suggested to be used as a reference data for
real applications.
