We present technical information of underwater welding in this database.
Hydraulic pressure increases as depth becomes deep and buoyancy comes to act in water, as a result, the welding becomes very difficult according to the different phenomenon from normal condition. From the viewpoint of underwater (in the sea), we present the technical information necessary to operate the arc welding together with the visual data. Also this database contains the information of the welding phenomenon influenced by the atmospheric condition (from vacuum to high pressure) and gravity.

This database has been constructing for "Techno-knowledge Network Project" to assist production activities of developing companies. Bulk data has been accumulated from experimental data produced by underwater technology group of Institute for Marine Resources and Environment(MRE) in the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology(AIST). This database introduces from outline of underwater welding to clear high-speed movies of arc welding procedure in various conditions. This visual information is useful to understand what is arc welding. Tsukuba Advanced Computing Center(TACC) and Research Information Database(RIO-DB) offices assist operation of database system and technical affairs.
