How to browse the thermal conductivity data of Aluminum
This section describes the procedures to launch InetDBGV and browse a data takeing thermal conductivity of Aluminum as an example.
When you log on the InetDBGV, Fig.1 will appear on the screen. To browse a data, 1.Expand the material trees or 2.Search by material name.
1.Expand the material trees
Aluminum is used chiefly in a solid, and belongs to the p-block metals. Expand the material trees from these information.
Click the plus (+) icon next to "Solids & Melts" in the material trees.

Fig.1 After log on the InetDBGV
Expand "Solids & Melts", and Group (the group corresponding to society or materials industries community) appears.
In these groups, expand "Metals".

Fig.2 After expand "Solids & Melts"
Expand "Metals", and Material Class 1 (the group can understand the dependence of the property with chemical composition) appears.
In these groups, expand "p-block Metal Elements".

Fig.3 After expand "Metals"
Expand "p-block Metal Elements", and Material Class 2 (classification of chemical composition of major elements) appears.
In these groups, expand "Al Aluminum".

Fig.4 After expand "p-block Metal Elements"
Expand "Al Aluminum", and Material Class 3 (classification of state or structure) will appear.
Property data has only been recorded in lower folder than Material class 3.
Typical values of object substance are recorded in Material Class 3 and the data with more detail material informations (material standard, lot name, grade) are recorded in floder.
In the case of Aluminum, the data has been recorded in lower folder, therefore expand "Aluminum".

Fig.5 After expand "Al Aluminum"
Expand "Aluminum", and Material Class 4 (classification of material standard or grade) will appear.
You can not expand the material folder any more, it mean that the data has not recorded in lower folder than this.
To display the list of recorded property data, click .

Fig.6 After expand "Aluminum"
Click , and the list of recorded property data will be displayed in the right frame.
Guest user can browse only thermal conductivity data now.
About equation data, table data and graph, we describe on 2.Browsing in tutorial.

2.Search by material name
Follow links from the folder has corresponding material name by using search function.
Check the box next to "Specify a material name" within Search dialog box and click "Search Wizard".
Enter a search condition (mean material name in this case) and click "Fix Search".
Then click "Start Searching".

Fig.8 Material name search form
Search results are displayed. Click and jump to the corresponding material name folder in the material trees.
(By user authority setting, some folder may not be browsed.)

Browsing system by web browser
It is possible to use simple search or data comparison of the browse system without depending on a certain OS or browser.
TPDS-web lightweight version can be used via IE, GC, and have a light load.
Exclusive soft for browsing DB
InetDBGV is the database browsing software can be used by installing onto your Windows OS. Compared to the web browser version, it has several functions corresponding to higher and technical needs like property search or 3D graph plot using a large quantity of data.
